The Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier (1-877-986-7437, pinnaclepierhotel.com) raised a few eyebrows from across the bay when it opened in this former industrial zone at the Lower Lonsdale Avenue terminus.  Not so anymore,  The rooms, starting at just $115 per night, are modern and clean with brilliant floor-to-ceiling views of the Vancouver skyline.
